Store Cupboard Ideas

You know what it's like…you have some inspiration to get creative with your daughter for the afternoon and she chooses something that calls for an empty egg carton, so you then have to nip to the supermarket to buy half a dozen eggs! Or your son needs to cut things out of an old magazine, so he ends up with the latest edition of the TV mag! It can be a real pain, can't it, or worse still, stops the planned activity completely. I reckon that successfully entertaining the Kids is 90% about being organised!

So here is a list of things you may like to get together (over time) to make sure you have those egg cartons, washing up liquid bottles or shoe boxes to hand when you need them. It's what I call my Store-Cupboard (and it's far fuller than the store-cupboard in my kitchen!).

I suggest you keep it out of reach of little ones, if only because there are some things in there which they shouldn't be messing about with on their own.

I've tried to break it down into categories so you can get a quick idea of all the things I'm talking about. I'm sure you'll already have lots of them around the place. I'm not suggesting you go out and buy everything on this list, most of it can be collected over time or from cheap discount shops when you happen to see them.

If you like, you can print this list off & keep it somewhere handy to remind you not to throw out your sweet wrappers!
